In Gainesville, shops are busiest on Monday mornings and before holiday weekends, so a mid-week appointment gets a car seen faster. Labor rates across Florida vary by neighborhood and by shop type, from small independents to dealership service bays, and mobile mechanics now cover many routine jobs in the driveway. Before authorizing a repair, ask for the estimate in writing, whether the shop warranties parts and labor (12 months / 12,000 miles is common, some offer more), and whether it can provide a loaner or a shuttle. Check the listing for hours, the makes the shop works on and its Google rating, then call ahead, since walk-in capacity is limited at smaller shops.

The business lists hours on 5 days of the week. The most common schedule is 9 am–5 pm. It is closed on Saturday, Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (352) 264-1414. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone.

On Google it holds a rating of 5.0 out of 5 from 69 reviews, which is a strong result for an auto repair shop in Gainesville and suggests consistent service.

Gainesville is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Gainesville follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

The team at Mends and Blends did a great job for us. They removed rust from the door panel, installed panel support and new vinyl material, and repainted the door. They also polished the car and restored the headlights. Fair price, honest people, and they stood behind their work even with a couple return visits due to their busy schedule. They also helped with another issue at no extra charge. Great customer service, we would definitely use them again!

Love this shop. I had multiple quotes from places in town that wanted to charge way more and have my car for multiple days. I could tell Mends and Blends was different when they recommended a different route and talked to me like a person not just a paycheck. They were able to take care of the scratches on my car in an efficient time and fair price. Holly went above and beyond, which made me feel confident I would recommend them to friends and family. Thank you for the great experience!

I can't say enough good things about Tim! From helping us order the rear light online ("it'll be cheaper than getting it from the dealership") to the immediate installation of the part when we arrived, he did, indeed, treat us like family. Its not easy to find good, kind, honest people in the auto trades anymore, they seem to be a dying breed. But Tim is one of them, and I would not hesitate to recommend him...and have!

Tim is absolutely amazing! He did a fantastic job fixing the accident caused by my friend. He also fixed my mirror for no extra cost - overall a great experience and very reasonably priced compare to other shops. Would definitely recommend for anyone! Thanks a lot 👍🏻

Highly recommended!!! Thank you, Tim. You made my car “like-new”. Those heavy dents and scratches are all gone now and I am so happy to see my mustang reborn. 🚘 Pricing: I had to pay out of pocket. I’ve got quotes from 9 different places in Gainesville and Tim’s Mends & Blends offered the most affordable rate. Quality: Although I was not sure about the quality, I believed in the reviews here and they were all right. Conclusion: I’m adding one more review here myself; if you need your car repair, come visit Tim first and ask. Then, visit different places if needed. You’ll def come back here and both you and your car will be happy ever after.
